President of Peking University, Prof. Zhou Qifeng and Vice President, Prof. Wang Enge and some university leaders visited BIOPIC on May 17th. Prof. Sunney Xie, founder of BIOPIC, gave the visitors an overview of BIOPIC’s mission, infrastructure construction, recruitment progress, funding distributions and research areas. BIOPIC PIs then gave the guests an in-depth tour of the labs, including the Sequencing platform, Integrated Biology lab, Laboratory of Single Molecule and Live Cell, Single Molecule Biophysics Laboratory, Stem Cell and Epigenetics Laboratory, Coherent Raman Scattering Microscopes platform, etc.

 

PIs also reported to the President Zhou on the latest progress of the on-going research projects. President Zhou said the university has made full commitment to the development of the center, and will continue to support the center in every aspect.
