On Dec. 22nd, 2011, Prof. Jun Ye, Member of US Academy of Sciences, visited BIOPIC. He was given an overview and showed around by Prof. Sunney Xie, Director of BIOPIC.

 

The Ye group explores the frontiers of light-matter interactions, with research covering precision measurement, ultracold atoms and molecules, quantum metrology, and ultrafast science and quantum control. Ye is regarded as an international leader in the optical research area. Invited by the Quantum Material Center of Peking University, Ye is scheduled to give a talk titled “From optical atomic clocks to chemistry near absolute Zero-Controlling quantum matter with light”.
