On Nov. 9th, 2011, ZHU Shanlu, Secretary of Party Committee of Peking University, visited BIOPIC. Prof. Xiaodong Su, Deputy Director of BIOPIC, introduced to Zhu in details about the planning, platform and infrastructure construction, recruitment process and funding distributions, etc. Accompanied by BIOPIC PIs, Zhu and other PKU officials made a tour of the center’s major labs, and talked with graduate students and staff scientists. Secretary Zhu said he was most impressed by the progress BIOPIC had made in such a short period of time and he guaranteed that Peking University would continue to give unreserved supports to the center and wish the center will make significant contributions to the development of Peking University and Chinese sciences.
