Research Interests

Since joining PKU in 2014, my research initially focused on a group of novel kinases that phosphorylate secreted proteins and glycans, building on the work I conducted during my postdoctoral training in Dr. Jack Dixon’s laboratory. In recent years, we have made a shift in our primary focus, directing our main efforts toward exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying immunoglobulins, particularly IgM, IgA, and IgE. Additionally, I have been involved in studying the antibody response to SARS-CoV-2. In future work, we plan to delve deeper into the molecular mechanisms of various immunoglobulins, including examining the interactions between different immunoglobulins and their specific receptors and binding partners, as well as exploring the interplay between immunoglobulins and pathogen molecules. We also intend to extend our research to investigate the molecular mechanisms of complement proteins. Finally, we aim to leverage our insights into antibody engineering, with the ultimate goal of guiding the development of new therapies to improve human health.
